Our owner, Sam, is a Florida native who grew up on the beautiful west coast of our state. He moved to central Florida to attend college at UCF, and after graduation, he wanted a pool at his own home and started the process. It was this experience that led him to want to develop his own pool contracting business: huge upfront deposits for long lead times (pools being built 18 – 24 months later), not to mention the lack of options and pool builders wanting to sell their cookie cutter pool without any consideration for what the customers wanted. They had a process to maximize profit instead of maximizing customer happiness.

In 2010 he started the journey to become a Licensed pool contractor in the state of Florida with the first pool he built at his own home. He found that large pool builders aren’t close enough to the customer and lose focus on what they should be doing: building the dream backyards of their customers. Too often builders show you a preplanned pool package with “free upgrades”.

Since then, Sharp Pools has designed and built pools from the Sun Coast (west coast) to the Space Coast (east coast) of Florida, helping to rehabilitate countless pools all over the state. No job is too small or too large, from personal pools to 50,000-gallon commercial pools.
